Dr. Maria Tugbang


Her History And Philosophy

Dr. Maria Tugbang studied Psychology and Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 and later a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1994.
Dr.Tugbang enjoys dentistry and participates in many continuing education programs to update her skills. She has taught at UBC as an instructor to dental students. She has also worked in Outreach clinics in Vancouver and Guatemala providing dental services to the underprivileged.

Her treatment goal for every patient is to restore, enhance, and maintain health while also considering longevity, aesthetics and function. To do so, she believes in treating not only her patients’ teeth but also their smile, gums, bones, bite, muscles and joints associated with their teeth. She also believes it is necessary to deliver such treatment with empathy, respect and unconditional acceptance for her patients. She brings creativity and meaning to her service by using everything that her education, training, experience, intuition, and integrity dictate to provide the best and appropriate care.
